The volume and quality of work that is being produced by the students here is I think quite impressive. Crocker Visit Contemporary Art History 3-10-19

        Hello my name is John Klaiber and I visited the Crocker Art museum this Sunday with my beginning drawing class led by Professor Brenda Louie and it was quite an experience. I have been to the Crocker many times before this however with my education at Sacramento State it seams like each time things are going further and more that I before was really able to perceive.         All of the works she focused on save maby a few were were works that would be considered contemporary or otherwise the roots of Contemporary Art. The premise of our class really as far as I can describe simply can be summed up in this one phrase that Professor Louie has been saying more and more often these days.        Learn the rules, break the rules.       Some of the pieces were intriguing because I just like them. Some stood out because of things I am learning in this class. Some were intriguing because of what I have been learning in the drawing class. In the e
