Honestly I am and was super pumped about this show. The volume and quality of work that is being produced by the students here is I think quite impressive. Even when I was dropping off my work on submission day I was super blown away by the works that were being submitted. I feel that this body of work not only speaks to the students that are here but also to the experiences, instruction and inspiration we are attaining as students here. The works that were chosen and are being exhibited in this show are I think exceptional. Pieces that obviously stand out to me are the works that I have selected to show with my photographs. Especially, Holly's piece, Lown's piece, Stohlmans piece and the Lazer eyes cat piece. I know that there are amendments that I need to make as far as titles and spellings of names but one thing for me is absolutely certain. I am super proud and honored to be showing my work in this show along with such a Great cohort and group of artist who are apart of this Sacramento State 2019 student body. And to those students who did not get in I have this to say to you. 
You Suck!!!

JUST KIDDING!!!

The truth of it is that last year I submitted 3 pieces that I considered to be super strong and none of them got in. The work I am making now as compared to them is absolutely the same, and at the same time Absolutely different. To the students who didn't get in, keep going, keep working and keep growing. You will accomplish more that you would ever have believed! Watching us all grow as artist and as beings of light is really an Awe inspiring and wonderful experience for me and I am extremely happy to be here with you all today as an art student of Sac State.

Tam Helenski I have known Tam for a little while now and one thing I can absolutely say is that she has some seriously deep understanding of not only her work but also the way of many artist, I think even more than many artist may know. Like Rubi Chishti she has investigated deeply into a world that can only be understood from within.  Its hard for me to quote Tam because the stuff is usually so deep. Most times I will record conversations or lectures like this. Unfortunately I left my recorder on and out side after our classes talk with visiting artist Eric Anang which was right before. What really stood out to me in this talk with Tam was her own struggle to explain her realizations in or with words. Eric Adjetey Anang

Eric Adjetey Anang One of my favorite parts about being an Art Student at Sacramento State is the opportunities I have had to work with and get to know visiting artist. Last year it was Shay Church this year it was Eric Adjetey Anang. (Artist Eric Adjetey Anang with student assistants Kojo Gaisie and Chris Duffy) Now this year I didn't get to work as closely on the project with Eric as I did with Shay but I will say this, I have never met a guy who smiles as much and seams as Jolly as Eric! Crocker

The Crocker (Rick Siggins, JuJuiygi 2007, Acrylic on Canvas) I Love The Crocker. (Homeboys, Brian D Tripp 1997 Mixed media) I always like to see there contemporary permanent collection, Its interesting especially after seeing the SF MOMA. Our Museum is good!                     (Charlie Brown Untitled, Bearing the weight#1 Oil on Pasted Canvas) I Feel Like the Crocker is a little more humbler, a little more down to earth. and still basically jam packed with Exceptional works and sweet shows.  I should probably become a member.
